Our son, Nash, was born prematurely at only 24 weeks. We spent every possible moment with Nash. He seemed so strong for a 24-weeker, but the extent of his lung complications soon became clear: in addition to receiving three doses of surfactant and being on a ventilator, he was prescribed nitric oxide after being diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension. He also fought through sepsis and pneumonia, but somehow he continued to hang on and fight.
We look forward to telling the rest of our story the night of the event - Alana & Nick
